The Rejection

This must be the shortest story I have ever written! It is provisionally called the Rejection. Can you think of a better title?

The unconventional lovers eyed each other. “I can give you a lift? It’s on the way.”

They rushed into the car. The indicator tick-tocked, the Audi turned in.

Inside the apartment stood a statue. “I love the sensuous curves of this.” She said,

He pulled off his shirt. She knew he would take her, any moment now. And she wanted it so much.

Morning came, she was gone! Back to her husband. Like before. He decides to phone her. To resolve this.

“Shelley.” He whispers, “ Why? Are you using me?”

“I love my husband. But we can’t have children,…”
